God Has An Advantage Over Us

John 16:13  But when He, the Spirit of Truth (the Truth-giving Spirit) comes, He will guide you into all the Truth (the whole, full Truth). For He will not speak His own message [on His own authority]; but He will tell whatever He hears [from the Father; He will give the message that has been given to Him], and He will announce and declare to you the things that are to come [that will happen in the future].

I was thinking the other day that God has an advantage over us.  He knows the things that are going to happen before they happen.  I was thinking that because He told me something was going to happen that has was in it’s last stages of happening.  That is what He was showing me, that we were in the last stages of it, before I would see it!  I was seeing as He does at the moment, that what He said would happen was actually ready to happen!

Ever so often in a assignment from God I get I frustrated and even doubt that the thing He asked of me. In my frustration I go to Him for encouragement and each time He reassures me that I am the vessel and it will happen as I am tenacious about my part in it.

So back to the other day when I could see into the future in the situation I was in, I was thinking God You have one over on me. I could see a clearer picture which made me smile knowing what He knows.  Now my faith increased because I could what He sees.

It is so much easier now seeing more than before, the finished results to this miracle ahead. When God tells you things to come, it is the greatest of faiths I know!

Thinking back to when my mom wanted to move to heaven.  She was so done here and just wanted to go be with God, but I wasn't ready to let go of her.  I won't tell you the whole story of His love right now but I will tell you He soo very loved me through the whole journey.  God not only prepared me, He showed me for sure she would be with Him, that I could live here on earth without her, and He told me the exact day in which she would leave.  I was astonished at His love for me.

Seven days before she left, He said, “in seven days I will take your mom, okay?”  The sixth day, He said, “In six days I am going to take your mom, are you okay with that?”  The fifth day, “I am going to take your mom in five days, okay?”  The fourth day, “In fours days, “I am going to take your mom in four days okay?”  The third day, “I am going to take your mom in three days, okay?”  The second day, “I am going to take your mom in tomorrow, okay, are you okay with that?”  The day of, He said, “I am going to take your mom today, okay?  Are you okay?”

He did, He took my mom that day.  I never felt so much love and compassion as I did from Him that day. He was so gentle, kind, and loving as He saw me through that transition. He even let me hear hear her leave her body.  I could hear her and I knew she was flying up as she exclaimed her excitement!

When God tells you things to come, it is so much easier and so more exciting to be in faith with Him.  When you know what is going to happen it makes a huge difference in your confidence to do what He is telling you to do!

May I encourage you today to get to know God and trust Him.  Let Him tell you things to come, so you can be a part of what He is doing, and be apart of who He is in you!
